Wide 4 line circular arc groove type linear guide adopted
Definitive model of the small size single axis robot
Compact
Newly developed small size 100WAC servo motor and linear guide enabled downsizing by 40% from the size of the conventional model (comparison of the cross sectional area). Such small size contributes to make the system size smaller. Also, the direct coupling structure Note connecting the ball screw and motor directly reduces the overall length.
Note : What is the direct coupling structure
Coupling free structure with the motor installed directly to the end of the ball screw axis Its use reduces the overall length, improves servo rigidity and contributes to lowering the cost as well.
Wide 4 line circular arc groove type High rigidity and high durability provided by 2-point contact guide
As the linear guide uses 4 line circular arc groove type 2-point contact guide, it has advantages in the automatic adjustment function and smooth operation even when rigidity and accuracy of the installation area are low. Also, as the differential slippage of the ball is small by structure, its smooth rolling movement is maintained even when a large moment load is applied, avoiding abnormal wear and other conditions that may lead to a failure.
With the guide rail arranged fully over the frame width, the supporting span expands widely, increasing the rigidity in the rolling direction 3 times as much as the conventional model.
Ball screw outer diameter in
2 types, lead variation in wide range
You can select the ball screw from 2 types using the same frame but different outer diameters. Also, as many different leads are available, you can select the model most suitable to the function, application and budget you are looking for.
Absolute system with outstanding reliability
Just like other YAMAHA robots, a resolver (magnetic type position detector) is used. The structure is simple, free from electronic parts and optical elements and yet robust. There are very few points where a failure may occur potentially. It features in high environmental adaptability and low failure rate.
Its overwhelming reliability and low price are appealing as compared with those of the absolute system which uses the optical type encoder.
As the motor and resolver are incorporated, the motor can be replaced easily should it fail, although it has the direct coupling structure.

RCX141 and RCX142 united into one unit
Even when FLIP-X and PHASER used together in addition to a Cartesian robot or SCARA robot, the absolute function of FLIP-X is usable.
Absolute data retained for 1 year
As the power consumption of the absolute circuit is reduced compared with the conventional RCX142 model, the retention time of the absolute position data while the power is not applied is increased to as long as 1 year.
At the same time, the battery is made smaller and lighter. Furthermore, the battery is changed from the nickel-cadmium type to rithium type for the environment friendly purpose.
Double power source system
With the control power source and main power source separated, compliance to the higher ranked safety category is available.
Programming by a new programming box RPB
The same tool can be used commonly with RCX221 / 222.
As the 15 digits display is used for this unit while 8 digits for the conventional MPB, much larger amount of information can be displayed at one time, making it easier to use.
A new option board is added
Addition of the iVY board facilitates construction of the vision system. Also, it is possible to construct the conveyor tracking system easily by adding the tracking board.
The system constructed with RCX141/142 can be replaced as it is

The robot cable, standard I/O and safety connector wiring are usable as they are.
The program, point data, etc. can be used commonly.

Performance is enhanced
CP (interpolation operation) speed and locus accuracy are improved
·With the driver board changed, CP (interpolation) operation is much more improved. As a result, higher locus accuracy can be obtained in the dispenser application.
Operation speed is increased
·The operation time can be reduced substantially in the processes of avoiding the interfering object and conveyor tracking of the SCARA robot.

With the unique absolute scale used, it moves 76mm in maximum to detect the current position right after turning on the power. Thus, big movement to the origin is not necessary.

Structure
This Cartesian robot uses a hollow shaft motor and has a structure using a new type driving axis for the base which drives the ball nut directly.

There is no restriction of the whirling speed even when using a long stroke.
Stroke : 2000mm / Maximum speed 1200mm/sec
As a nut rotation type hollow shaft motor is installed for the X axis, it can maintain the maximum speed even when using a long stroke.

Double Y axes are available as a standard
Because of the nut rotation type structure, the double-axes type which installed. 2 sliders on the same axis is available as a standard. As 2 Cartesian robots can be compactly incorporated, it contributes to lower cost, higher work efficiency and space saving to a great extent.
Heavy payload
Maximum payload : 25kg (XY 2 axes)
With a highly rigid frame, this unit has a heavy payload. Use of this unit in combination with a double carrier provides a wide range application possibility.
